Description :

The course will be an introduction to differential geometry and topology ideas used in theoretical physics, especially in gauge theory.

The topics will be the following (there will be some choice among the most advanced topics) :

- Manifolds, differential forms, cohomology ; Hodge theory
- Fibre bundles, connections, curvature
- Characteristic classes ; Chern-Simons
- Spinors, Dirac operator, Atiyah-Singer index theorem
- Yang-Mills equations, instantons.
