Description

This lecture provides an introduction to the gauge theory of electroweak interactions and to the Standard Model of particle physics, as well as to some of its extensions. Topics include : basics of gauge theories ; symmetry breaking, Goldstone theorem and Higgs mechanism ; construction of the Standard Model ; renormalization of non-abelian gauge theories ; anomalies ; introduction to Grand Unification and to supersymmetry.
