Description

Soft condensed matter is an active research area with a lot of experimental and theroretical questions both. If the experimental results can appear easy to understand they can be tricky to interpret. These lectures will present the physical interactions at a molecular level and their signatures at mesoscopic or macroscopic scales. Several examples will be studied going from solutions, emulsions or colloids but also thin liquid films including capillarity or wetting problems. A large part of the lectures will be devoted to experimental techniques, experimental results and order of magnitude determinations.
